2022 World Influenza Conference will be held in September

Resource:

Influenza has always been a major global public health concern. At present, the COVID-19 pandemic is still at a very high level throughout the world, with and congoing risk of imported cases from abroad. The continuous emergence of coronavirus variants brings more uncertainty to the evolution of the pandemic. In winter and spring, there is a risk of superimposed epidemics of COVID-19, influenza, and other infectious respiratory diseases, which will increase the complexity and difficulty of influenza prevention and control. How to explain the epidemiological characteristics of influenza in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and whether there is a possibility of a large-scale influenza outbreak or epidemic are issues that need to be urgently understood.

The purpose of this conference is to build the most advanced influenza prevention and control technology exchange and sharing platform, and to strengthen the cooperative research on influenza prevention and control strategies of various countries. At the same time, it is hoped that the global level of response to the dual pandemic of influenza and COVID-19 will be improved, with the public and professional institutions developing greater awareness of the risks associated with influenza, and the importance of prevention and control as a result of this conference.

On September 17-18, the 2022 World Influenza Conference will be held in Shenzhen, China. Experts and representatives from all over the world will participate in this conference to discuss the world's most advanced influenza prevention and control strategies. We cordially invite anyone with a scientific interest in influenza prevention and control to participate in, and support this event.

Relevant information about this conference will be continuously updated on the website.
